Lynchburg Covenant Fellowship is accepting applications for a Part-Time (Approx. 8 Hrs/week) HOPE II After School Program Coordinator.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Provides activities one afternoon per week for children residing at agency communities and the surrounding neighborhood
  • Planning and carrying out curriculum to include: homework assistance, social, educational and cultural activities
  • Networking with organizations and resources to enhance the program
  • Recruiting students from agency communities
  • Enlisting, training, and supervising volunteers to assist with programs
  • Preparing written reports
  • Creating and maintaining a volunteer work schedule
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good relations with participants, the public and staff
  • Performing other duties tasks as assigned

Requirements for HOPE II After School Program Coordinator:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with children of diverse backgrounds with challenging needs
  • Must possess leadership qualities
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to set goals with a plan for achieving those goals
  • Detail Oriented & extremely organized
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Time management techniques
  • Highly skilled in written/verbal communication with the ability to communicate effectively with parents and volunteers
  • Applicant must have knowledge and experience using computer software to perform all duties including preparing a schedules, calendars, reports, and activities
  • Must be able and willing to work late afternoons/early evenings
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
